NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A man is in custody after he admitted to shooting and killing another man in North Little Rock.
Sgt. Brian Dedrick with North Little Rock Police Department said his department received the call at 6:16 p.m. Wednesday. He said 20-year-old Andre Bell, a Pulaski Tech student, was shot and killed at housing authority development. The shooting happened at Silver City Court, located at 701 W. 18th Street in North Little Rock.
Bell's father said his son had one child and another on the way.
Within two hours of the shooting, North Little Rock police arrested Antwan Kemp, 22, who admitted to shooting Bell.
According to a press release from police, Kemp said he and Bell got into an argument and he shot Bell multiple times. Kemp is charged with first degree murder and possession of firearms. He is in custody at the Pulaski County Regional Intake Center without bond.
