LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- AmeriPride Services made a big gesture of kindness Monday.
The company, a linen and uniform rental service, donated a substantial number of products like bath towels, wash cloths, mats, kitchen towels, aprons and other items to Little Rock's new Central Arkansas Homeless Day Resource Center.
The brand new day center will provide people with shelter, hot meals, employment assistance, health referrals and other resources all at no charge.
It was unexpectedly a blessing. I am very, very humbled by the attitude and the gratitude that AmeriPride has shown," said Christopher Porter, a Jericho Way case worker.
This is the first time the city of Little Rock will provide direct services for the homeless and working poor.
