BATESVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The evidence collected at the scene of a suspicious fire in Batesville has been collected and taken to the State Crime Lab, according to Lt. Mike Mundy.

The fire started at a parole and probation office early Monday morning and damage is estimated to be between $100,000 to $150,000.

Police have previously said that they have a person of interest in the case, but have not made an arrest. They want to have all of their information and evidence in order before making that move.

Mundy said the Independence County Sheriff Department is now waiting for the crime lab to finish its investigation before moving further.
