LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Police say the man who drove looking for help after being shot has died of his injuries.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis says the victim is 19-year-old Jaxson Guinn. She says he drove himself to the intersection of Roosevelt Rd. and Schiller St. to get help after he had been shot on 27th St. and Battery St. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
A second person with Guinn told police he had been shot by someone who was selling the two a bottle of prescription pills. Police found the pills in a nearby bush and a white, powdery substance in the vehicle's middle console.
Davis says they do have a suspect in this murder and currently have a warrant for that person. Right now police are searching for the suspect. Police will release the name and photo of the suspect after officers have a chance to search.
The suspect was initially possibly facing first-degree battery and terroristic acts charges, but now they could face murder now that Guinn has died.
