LONSDALE, Ark. (KTHV) - The Lonsdale Volunteer Fire Department has confirmed storm damage in their area.
According to Robert Warford, a tree fell through a home in Lonsdale around 2 p.m. Tuesday on Warford Road. A disabled teen was inside the home when the tree came down but was not injured. Warford said he had been watching the storm through the window of a room away from the damage.
He said the tree was a 100-year-old oak tree; it split down the middle, and one branch went completely through the house and embedded into the ground below it.
In all, about 30 trees were down within a 3-block stretch, according to Warford.
