HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Hot Springs is welcoming thousands of motorcyclists this weekend.

"He calls it the Cadillac," Cathy Loucks said, describing her motorcycle.

Motorcycle enthusiasts are revving up their engines and rolling in on their finest two wheels for the eighth annual Hot Springs Rally.

"Arkansas is our second home. We love riding around here," Loucks said.

"Hot Springs is a very pretty city. It's nice, we like it here," Bill Fox added.

"There's already riders in from Nebraska and Michigan, and by the time it ends on Saturday night, I feel like we'll have 30 to 40 of the states represented," CEO of Visit Hot Springs, Steve Arrison, explained.

2,200 bikers pre-registered for this weekend's event, but organizers predict three times that amount will visit Hot Springs, making a huge economic impact.

"Puts bodies in our hotels, heads in beds and restaurants, and it's just a lot of fun," continued Arrison. He told THV11 this weekend will bring in an excess of $4 million, and local businesses, like Embassy Suites, are welcoming the visitors.

"It comes at a great time because coming off from Labor Day weekend, and it typically would kind of be kind of a slow period for Hot Springs, so this keeps summer going another weekend," said Kurt Schatzl, the general manager of Embassy Suites.

It is a rally that keeps the summer going and the good times rolling.
