LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Instagram, a free mobile app, continues to gain popularity, but there's a change coming that some people may not like.
According to the Huffington Post, ads are coming to the app. That's what the company's director of business, Emily White, told the Wall Street Journal. Right now, the Instagram team is looking to put ads in a few corners of the app's Discover function, where members can find the most popular photos and videos.
It's no wonder this is coming- some brands have more than a million followers, all without paying anything for ad space.
White told Wall Street journal that users can expect to see ads on the mobile photo and video-sharing platform within a year.
