LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Fall starts this weekend, and our lifestyle guru Chris Olsen with Botanica Gardens has great ideas to help you decorate with pumpkins both real and recreated.

    The Great Pumpkin

At Botanica Gardens we always strive to have the unusual. This is no exception when it comes to pumpkins. We carry so many different varieties that you may be overwhelmed. Remember that autumn is about harvest so load up with different types of pumpkins and gourds and make your home festive for the fall season.

Here are some of my favorites:

    Bull Dog pumpkin
    Peanut pumpkin
    Cinderella pumpkin
    Ghost pumpkin
    Kamo Kamo gourd
    Millionaire pumpkin

Mix and match for one awesome display.

    Metal Pumpkins

    Macrame Hoop Suspended Orb:

Are you ready to make a fun, contemporary piece of art? How about making a suspended orb that can hang from a tree, porch, or even inside! It's simple by following these easy steps...you will need 4 macrame metal hoops (same size) found at a local craft store. Take one metal hoop and place inside another metal hoop creating a "plus" sign. Wire the two metal hoops together at the top and bottom where they connect. Insert the the next two metal hoops using the same step and wire together creating a "pumpkin like" orb. Suspend using wire!

    Supplies:

    - 4 metal macrame hoops
    - Wire
    - Wire cutters

    Dryer Vent Duct Pumpkin:

For the upcoming fall season, why not create a metallic pumpkin using dryer vent duct! This easy project will add a bit of sparkle and dimension to your fall decor. Dryer vent duct may be purchased at any hardware store. We purchased 8 feet of dryer vent duct and created 3 pumpkins. Simply uncoil the 8 foot dryer vent duct and cut into 3 equal sections using scissors and wire cutters. Take one end of the dryer vent duct and hot glue it to the other end. Be creative when adding the stems. Cinnamon sticks, wine corks, wire, or tree branches may be used. Whatever you choose, hot glue item inside the center of the dryer vent. Add moss, acorns, or any dried material to enhance the look!

    Supplies:

    - Dryer vent duct
    - Scissors
    - Wire cutters
    - Cinnamon sticks, wine corks, tree branches
    - Moss, acorns, dried material
    - Hot glue gun/ hot glue
