LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas insurance officials say there was no difference between the rates originally proposed and those announced yesterday for half of the insurers participating in the state's marketplace under the federal health care law.
The Arkansas Insurance Department on Tuesday released more details about the rates for the four insurers that will participate in the exchange. Open enrollment for the exchange begins Oct. 1.
The department said there was no difference between the rates announced this week and those originally proposed by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Multi-State plan. The rates approved for QualChoice Health Insurance were 25.1 percent lower than originally proposed.
The rates for Arkansas Health and Wellness Solutions were 5.3 percent lower than originally proposed.
