    The Arkansas State Fair is coming back to town!

    This year's theme is 'Let the Fun Begin' - and the fun begins Oct. 11, running through Oct. 20 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in downtown Little Rock.

    New food this year includes: Apple Pie Funnel Cake, Grazzi Grinder, Porkchop Sundae, Citrus Blast, Fried Jell-O, Fried Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Fried S'Mores pop tart sundae, fried chick-n-waffle on-a-stick, Fried Avocado, Fried Banana Split, Indian fry bread, and something mysterious called "I don't know."

    This year, tickets and passes will have barcodes on them. Police are also increasing security by installing surveillance cameras throughout the fairgrounds.

    The fair is located at 2600 Howard Street in Little Rock and opens daily at 11 a.m.



    Adults: $8 per day
    Children (6-12 years old): $4 per day
    Children under 6 are Free
    Senior Citizens (60 years and older): $4 per day
    Parking: $5 per vehicle

    Country music legend Charlie Daniels and his band kick off the Fair's Concert Series, Friday, October 11, at 8:00 p.m.

    Saturday, October 12, at 8:00 p.m., .38 Special brings its classic Southern rock to the main stage.

    Up and coming country music artist Josh Thompson performs Sunday, October 13, beginning at 8:00 p.m.

    Night Ranger rocks the stage Wednesday, October 16, at 8:00 p.m.

    Thursday, October 17, beginning at 8:00 p.m., R&B singer Ginuwine performs his many hits.

    Friday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m., the State Fair welcomes Johnny Gill for an evening of rhythm and blues.

    Everclear concludes the Fair's headliner concerts Saturday, October 19, at 8:00 p.m. All of these performances take place on the Wendy's Main Stage.

    There is a limited number of VIP seating for each show. Preferred concert seating tickets are available for $12 at www.asfg.net.
