LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Three people were taken to the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Little Rock Thursday afternoon. It happened around 2 p.m. at the corner of 12th and Adams Streets.

A group of people gathered outside of Hawk's Bar-B-Que this afternoon suddenly became the victims of yet another act of violence. Theodis Moore said he was cooking barbeque outside of his daughter's restaurant Thursday when someone opened fire from a van driving east on 12th Street.

"I was at the grill and shots just started ringing out, and I looked around and it was a car, a van, going down Adams. I got behind the grill," recalled Moore.

But Moore told THV11 that his step-daughter, Crystal Scott, did not get so lucky.

"I heard her hollering. She had made it inside the barber shop, and she was hit," said Moore.

"It went straight through. I just talked to the people at St.Vincent, so they probably just going to bandage her up, and she'll be alright praise the Lord," confirmed Scott's sister, Latoya Harris.

Police said in all three people left the scene with bullet wounds--all of them expected to recover. Investigators spent the afternoon gathering evidence but did not say what vehicle they are looking for or how many suspects may be inside.

"You might be mad at somebody, but what about the innocent bystanders that had nothing to do? Just going about their regular day; had her baby in her arm--my niece. I think it's childish, real childish," said Harris.

Though police haven't made any arrests, Moore said it's only a matter of time. He's just thankful everyone is still alive.

"There was some lucky peoples out there today. He'll eventually get caught. You always going to have someone who is a fool," added Moore.

Little Rock Police said, like several other areas within the city, they are working to revitalize 12th Street even building a police substation just a few blocks away from Thursday's shooting scene. They hope a bigger police presence will curb the violence.

This was the second shooting in Little Rock this week. Earlier Thursday around 1 p.m., Little Rock Police got a call to another shooting. This one was at a West Little Rock apartment complex called Bristol Hill. It sent a woman to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but police believe it may have been a domestic dispute.
