    Man arrested for taking rifle, other items from home

    ALEXANDER, Ark. (KTHV) - The Saline County Sheriff's Office said they have arrested a man for stealing a rifle among other items from a family's home.

    According to Lt. Scottie Courtney, the theft happened on Oct. 3 on Oakbrook Road, and Sean Spann, 25, of Alexander, was arrested later on Oct. 11 after witnesses said they saw him walking away from the same area as the victim's home.

    Courtney said after finding Spann, they were able to recover most of the items stolen. The gun was found in his father's closet. Don Spann, 52, was also taken into custody.

    Sean Spann was charged with residential burglary, theft of property, two counts of theft by receiving, and two counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Don Spann was charged with theft by receiving.
