LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The crew of Natural State Supernatural is scanning Arkansas for the paranormal.
"We've been to Pocahontas Arkansas, all the way to Gurdon and Texarkana," said Derrick Koon.
Koon helped create the group and says while some ghost hunters seek out the sensational, they focus on history and accuracy.
"Turn off anything that might contaminate noise or electrical interference that could contaminate some of our evidence that we're gathering," said Koon.
While Koon is the skeptic of the group he tells THV 11 he's had strange experiences.
"A large group of people all witnessed a door that would open and close apparently on its own, now it was completely still outside there was no wind to be had - the door was actually an interior door in the hospital, but you could address the door or talk to it and it would open and close," said Koon.
Koon and a crew received clearance to search Larson Hall at UALR on Friday night after multiple reports of odd sightings.
"What we're going to do tonight is set up our cameras and then we're going to be still and try to get whatever is left here. The main thing we've heard about is shadow people which are a phenomenon which is a black amorphous form, moving around and completely visible," said Koon.
