BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - UPDATE: The Bryant police chief, Mark Kizer, will be on unpaid leave when he returns from vacation.

This decision was announced Thursday at the city council meeting after the chief's recent travel expenses were brought to light.

The expense report by Police Chief Mark Kizer traces back to a strip club in Orlando Florida while he was attending a conference. According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Kizer said their hotel concierge recommended the steakhouse.

The O.C. Food and Beverages Steakhouse website states that there is a 5-star restaurant with a dining area separate from the dance floor.

The city attorney, Richard Chris Madison, told THV that two officers wanted to be reimbursed for steak dinners, which they had at an upscale Orlando, Fla., strip club.

The officers in question are Police Chief Mark Kizer and Bryant High School Resource Officer Lee Ledbetter, who were attending a conference in Orlando in July.

The receipt, provided by Madison, shows a $50.06 food purchase from O.C. Food and Beverages LLC, Steakhouse from July 18. The address listed on the receipt, 8701 S. Orange Avenue in Orlando, is the location for Rachel's Steakhouse, which is described online as a "luxurious Adult Entertainment Complex and an award winning 5 Star Restaurant."

The website also states, "Our menu features eight choices of prime USDA cuts of steak, prime rib, lobster, lamb and veal. Our extensive list of fine wines, cognac and champagnes are all served by a professional and experienced staff that will cater to your every need. You can enjoy your meal inside our elegant dining room or in the middle of the strip club action."

THV attempted to contact both Kizer and Ledbetter on Wednesday; neither were available for comment.

Bryant School District released the following statement in response to the allegations: "Schools resource officers are city employees and must follow all the policies and regulations of the City of Bryant."
