Rural man arrested for selling prescription synthetic heroin

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (BCSD) - On Monday, the Baxter County Sheriff's Investigators and the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force arrested 20-year-old Cody Bryant Bowers of Mountain Home of drug related charges.

    Sheriff's and Task Force Investigators, using a cooperating witness, purchased a prescription narcotic, Dilaudid (Pharmaceutical Grade Synthetic Heroin) from Bowers. A felony warrant was issued and Bowers was arrested.

    Bowers was charged with the Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Class C Felony, and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device

    According to Sheriff John Montgomery, Bowers is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bond of $7,500. He is due to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on November 7.
