ALEXANDER, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansas State Police is investigating the case of a six-month-old baby dying in Saline County.
According to an information report from the Alexander Police Dept., officers were dispatched to a home on Alexander Road on November 5, 2013, to reports of an unresponsive child. When officers arrived, firefighters on scene were performing CPR; they continued CPR until paramedics arrived and declared the baby deceased.
The Department of Human Services identified the baby as Yankee Combee, born on April 16, 2013. DHS' website shows the agency had previously investigated the child's family for an allegation of environmental neglect, but that accusation was found unsubstantiated in August 2013. DHS
Bill Sadler with Arkansas State Police said on Tuesday that ASP was investigating the case. Further information about this case is unknown at the time.
