    Man wanted for attempting to run over wildlife officer surrenders

    MARIANNA, Ark. (KTHV) - A Lee County man who attempted to run over an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wildlife officer has surrendered to authorities.

    Levi C. Wilson, 26, of Marianna turned himself in to the Lee County Sheriff's office on Thursday afternoon.

    Early on the morning of Nov. 9, Wilson tried to run over the wildlife officer shortly after Wilson shot at a deer decoy. The wildlife officer approached Wilson who took off in his vehicle striking the officer. The wildlife officer fired into Wilson's vehicle, but did not hit him. Wilson then left the vehicle and fled on foot. Neither the wildlife officer nor Wilson was injured.

    Wilson is being held in the Lee County Jail on $120,000 bond. He has been charged with several felonies including aggravated assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm and fleeing an enforcement officer. Wilson also has been charged with several hunting-related offenses.
