CABOT, Ark. (KTHV) - Police have arrested four people for drugs charges at a Cabot hotel.
According to Lt. Jim Kulesa, Deanna Copeland, 21; Kyle Edward Weeks, 24; Jimmy Andrew Gilley, 25; and Jessica Taylor McElyea, 22, were all taken into police custody Nov. 15 around 3 p.m. after investigators tried to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.
Kulesa said at the time of the arrest, Weeks had an estimated ½ gram of methamphetamine on his person while Gilley and McElyea both had an estimated 8 grams of methamphetamine.
McElyea and Gilley were arrested for possession with the purpose of delivery, and Weeks was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and the outstanding warrant. Weeks, Gilley, and McElyea were taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility. Copeland was issued a summons to appear at Cabot District Court.
Copeland had an outstanding failure to appear warrant from the Cabot Police Department. Weeks had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Arkansas Board of Parole.
