NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Construction on the new state-of-the-art campus for North Little Rock is starting to bare a transformation.
Phase one of the high school is complete. Mass excavation on the north side of the new football field began in December.
A large portion of the dirt is stored at Poplar Street, and a house along Main Street was torn down this week. Demolition for additional parking is still in progress.
"These will be schools of the future. Every campus will be remodeled or renewed, actually right now 4 campuses are new prototypes going up throughout the district, one's at Boone Park, and one's at Lakewood Elementary School," said Kelly Rodgers, Superintendent.
Excavation on the new football stadium is well underway, and demolition for a new parking lot started along Main Street this week.
