LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Research work along I-40 has been officially postponed due to a breakout of illness among the crew.
Workers were drilling to test the soil beneath the highway near North Little Rock.
A new date of completion will be set when the team can return. The work is preparation for the widening I-40 to six lanes.
Plus, crews will be modifying the Interstate 430 interchange.
One I-40 westbound lane will be closed Friday, January 24th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
