LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Despite freezing temperatures, there's one thing we can all look forward to in the winter: hot chocolate.
And who better to tell us how to make the best hot chocolate than our home expert, Chris Olsen.
Here is something unique and different. This is Coconut Hot Chocolate, and it tastes delicious. You will need:
-1 ¾ cup of whole milk
-1 2/3 cup heavy cream
-3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
-3/4 cup sugar
-1 can of coconut cream
Bring the whole milk to a simmer so it's nice and creamy. Next, add the heavy cream. Bring that to a nice simmer, then you are going to take it off the heat and add three cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
You just let that dissolve and melt together and that brings the base of your hot chocolate. Put a can of coconut cream in a separate sauce pan and then add the sugar.
Now, mix the coconut milk, add some marshmallows, and enjoy!
