NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Salvation Army location in North Little Rock has been robbed.

"I guess the word that immediately comes to mind is 'disheartening,'" said Kathy Barbeire with the Salvation Army.

Barbeire said early Friday morning cleaning staff arrived at the NLR Worship Center at 5100 Locust St. to find two air conditioning units stolen.

"We realize when people are desperate they do desperate things," she said.

Barbeire says this is the second time the Salvation Army building's air conditioning units have been vandalized in two months. In August, The NLR Service Unit at 1505 W. 18th St. also had its air conditioning units stripped of copper.

"People get down on their luck and they do things, I would like to believe, they wouldn't't normally do," said Barbeire.

If you would like to help with their recovery or with their mission to help the needy, please call (501) 476-3095.
