    Police have Johnny Patton and Amanda Hampton in custody in connection with Searcy shooting

    SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) - Police have two people in custody in Texas in connection with a shooting in Searcy on Friday night.

    Johnny Patton, 27, of Arlington, Texas, will be charged with Aggravated Robbery and Battery 1st Degree. There has not been a bond or court date determined at this time. Extradition back to Searcy is pending.

    Amanda Hampton, 27, of Arlington, Texas, will be charged with Accomplice to Aggravated Robbery and Battery 1st Degree. There has not been a bond or court date determined at this time. Extradition back to Searcy is pending.

    Arkansas State Police chased the suspects into Texas over the weekend.

    Officers were told the victim was shot around 7 p.m. while attempting to sell a ring at JC Penney that had been listed on Craigslist. The victim had arranged a meeting with someone online in the parking lot, and during the meeting, he was shot in the stomach.

    The victim reportedly made it through surgery and is currently in recovery.
