LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - October is breast cancer awareness month, and while we see a lot of pink this time of year, one Arkansas school wanted to make sure there was a meaning behind it.

North Pulaski High School hosted a Pink Out pep rally on Wednesday, complete with a guest speaker from the Komen Foundation. All month long students and staff have been wearing pink on Wednesday and hosting events such as zumb-a-thons to raise money for the Komen Foundation.

"I'm just very excited our school has decided to do something positive. We want to make sure that we are seen in a positive light," said the NPHS cheer coach, Aconya Isaac.

The school sold more than 200 pink t-shirts to faculty and staff this year in hopes to increase their Pink Outs next year.
