    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- We are 16 days away until one of the busiest shopping days of the year; we're talking about Black Friday!

    But shopping for gifts can be difficult especially with all the sales. Experts say it's much easier when you have a plan of what to buy.

    Dr. Jane Wayland, dean of the School of Business at UALR, joins Ashley, Alyse, and Tom with some advice.

    National Federation of Retails reported that 226 million shoppers spent $52 billion during 2011 Black Friday.

    Gift shopping can be difficult especially with all the sales. Shopping for bargains is easier when you know what you want to buy. We tend to spend more if we simply go shopping and look for ideas. Plan in advance and do your research now for Black Friday , November 23. Decide if you want to shop the store or online.

    Several websites have sneak previews for you to review:

    These sites show the actual ads that will be available from a variety of stores - box stores, specialty stores, toy stores . You need to check often as they are adding more each day. Also some stores have already placed their Black Friday ads online -

    Also don't forget to look at specific stores have sites you can sign up for alerts or see what will be on sale: Target, Walmart

    Itunes and android have Black Friday apps for price comparison.

    But one question is - should you wait for Black Friday. Sometimes the lowest price is not on Black Friday.
