FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) - In recognition of their performances at the 25th Annual Chile Pepper Festival, senior Kemoy Campbell has been named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week and Aidan Swain has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Campbell, a native of Manchester, Jamaica, navigated the rain-soaked 8,000-meter Agri Park course in Fayetteville, in a second-place time of 22:38.4, finishing second to reigning NCAA Champion Kennedy Kithuka of Texas Tech. Previously, Campbell had finished in second place three times to fellow Razorback Stanley Kebenei who has won weekly SEC honors twice this season.

Swain, a native of Fayetteville, Ark., was the first Razorback freshman to cross the line at a time of 25:49.2. This is the second honor of Swain's young career after being honored on Sept. 24 after the Southern Stampede in the same fashion.

Overall, No. 6 Arkansas won the team title at the 25th Annual Chile Pepper Festival, defeating No. 27 Villanova and Texas Tech, among other teams. The Razorbacks scored 31 points for the meet, finishing ahead of second-place Villanova by 13 points.

The Razorbacks are now three-for-three in collecting SEC weekly honors this season, including sweeping both Runner and Freshman of the Week each of the last two opportunities.

The Razorbacks now prepare for the Wisconsin adidas Invitational which will be held on Oct. 19, at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisc. The men's 8K is slated for an 11 a.m. start.
