FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) - The University of Arkansas swimming and diving team earned a No. 21 ranking in this week's Division 1 College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll.
The ranking comes after the Razorbacks defeated Missouri State on Nov. 9 in Springfield, Mo., winning 15 of 16 events and setting four pool records at the Hammons Student Center. The team has recorded a 4-0 dual-meet record this season with wins at North Texas, at LSU, at Missouri State and against Nebraska. Arkansas has also set a new school record with 14 straight dual-meet victories.
Poll rankings are based on team performances in dual meets and invites, and the voting committee includes nine CSCAA-member coaches and one media member. Arkansas represents one of seven SEC schools included in the national poll.
Arkansas will travel to Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 21 to participate in the Missouri Invitational. The three-day invite will be the team's last competition of the fall semester.
