MONTICELLO, Ark. (UAM) - Following a 5-1 week, the University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team has climbed to No. 13 in each of the latest College Baseball and D2BaseballNews.com.
UAM jumped four spots from last week's D2BaseballNews.com spot and received a three-spot increase from College Baseball Lineup.
The Weevils started last week's five-win campaign with a 2-0 shutout victory over NCAA Division I Arkansas State on the road Tuesday in Jonesboro. A daylater, UAM crossed the double-digit barrier in scoring in each of its wins over Lemoyne Owen College at home before taking two of three Great American Conference games from Southwestern Oklahoma State this past Saturday and Sunday at Weevils Field.
This week's Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association national polls have not been released. UAM was ranked No. 24 last week by CBN and only received votes in the NCBWA poll.
