LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Christmas is over but New Years is not far away so don't put away those Christmas decorations. Reuse them and repurpose them with your New Year's decorations.

If you are having people come over to your house, you can have a great New Year's display. I went ahead and took my silver Christmas decorations, mixed with some gold ornaments as well as blue for a nice winter look.

I saved a champagne bottle from a past holiday and I went down to my local craft store, where they have boxes of lit branches. These are LED and what is great about these branches is they are on a battery pack, so you don't have an extension cord going to wherever you want to set up this display.

Then add a few other elements which we call the word "Jhemajang". We added another bottle of champagne, we added some New Year's crackers and a candle. I even took a stack of books to give it some height.

I added some crystal that I had and even some glass spheres to make the perfect display for New Years.

Now if you are not going to be home for New Years, but going to a party, here is a great hostess gift idea.

Again, take a Champagne bottle and then just take ribbon and tie two champagne glasses together to the top of the bottle. Then you add something that says "Holiday" or "Winter".

Here, I did a nice acrylic snowflake. What's the perfect gift to bring somewhere? Whether they drink it or not it just says "hey, I appreciate you inviting me to your party".

Whether you are staying home or going out, there is no reason why you can't celebrate New Year's.

    Happy New Year!
