Cynthia Malik with Pulaski Tech Culinary School will demonstrate how to make BBQ chicken pizza bread.
BBQ Chicken Pizza Bread
1 loaf French Bread or 2 Hoagie Rolls
Legs and Thighs of a whole roasted chicken, shredded
1-2 cups BBQ Sauce
2 cups Equal Parts Shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella Cheese
½ each Green Bell Pepper, diced
1 each Roasted or Fresh Red Bell Peppers, diced
½ small Red Onion, diced
Jalapeño Peppers, diced, to taste
Grated Parmesan Cheese, as needed
1. Pre heat the oven to 350°F. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Place the bread on a baking sheet, cut side up, and brush a little BBQ sauce on top.
2. Mix the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Spread it on top of the bread. Sprinkle cheese liberally.
3. Top with green pepper, red pepper, onion and jalapeños.
4. Place in the center of the oven for about 15 minutes. Turn on broil and allow the cheese to melt completely, about 5 minutes. Slice and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
