Daniel Wilkerson comes to THV 11 from the land made famous by Elvis, Justin Timberlake, Al Green and of course its killer barbeque ribs...Memphis, Tenn.
Prior to joining the THV newsteam, Daniel worked as an anchor/ reporter for WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tenn. While at the ABC/CBS affiliate he reported on a variety of government, human rights and consumer issues.
Before he caught the "journalism bug," Daniel enjoyed an 11-year career in banking. After which he returned to college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Memphis. While in school he worked as an on-air personality for WUMR, the college's FM jazz station.
Daniel's goal as a journalist is to approach each story asking himself, "How will my viewer benefit from this story? Did I present both sides of the issue, allowing the viewer to make a fair assessment?" He loves the way the Constitution offers protection for the press and the public, and feels it's his job to help keep the government and other institutions accountable to the people.
Daniel works as a multi-media journalist for THV's 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. broadcasts on weekdays and produces the Saturday 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts.
He is eager to hear your feedback on community issues. If you see him out in the field, don't hesitate to introduce yourself. He is happy to now call Little Rock home and looks forward to meeting more of you!
