LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - One man is dead and another is in custody after a late-night shooting Thursday in Little Rock.
Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department said officers responded about 10:45 p.m. to a shooting at 4717 West 22nd. Street. There they found a man shot, who was then taken to a hospital. The victim is identified as 37-year-old Torence Nelson of Little Rock. Davis said he died from a single gunshot wound.
The police report states that witnesses said the suspect, Opio Hardin, and Nelson were guests at the house where the shooting occurred. They said Hardin ran from the house after the incident.
Officers located Hardin, 30, near the intersection of Charles Bussey and Minor Lane about 4:00 Friday morning. They took him into custody and charged him with first degree murder.
