FAYETTEVILLE - Former Arkansas All-SEC selection Jeb Huckeba will serve as the A Club honorary captain for the Arkansas-Kentucky football game on Oct. 13, it was announced on Wednesday.
Huckeba was a four-year letterwinner at Arkansas. The defensive end was a member of the Razorbacks from 2001-04 and served as a team captain during his senior season.
Huckeba's best season as a Razorback came in his senior campaign, when he earned first-team All-SEC honors. He led Arkansas with 13 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in 2004. One of his best games as a senior came against Georgia, when he had four tackles for loss in the contest, which still ranks as tied for the sixth-highest single-game total in school history. As a junior, Huckeba finished second on the team with 14 tackles for loss and had 70 total tackles. He also added 10 quarterback hurries.
Huckeba finished his stellar four-year career with 33 tackles for loss, which ranks as the ninth-highest career total in school annals. Huckeba tallied 210 total tackles with 6.5 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He was named to the Razorbacks' All-Decade team for the period of 2000-09.
Following his playing career at the UA, Huckeba was a fifth-round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2005 NFL Draft. He went on to play two seasons in the NFL. Huckeba currently serves as an assistant football coach for Fayetteville High School.
The A Club honorary captain is recognized before each home game for their outstanding accomplishments on the field during their Razorback career. Each captain will be available for a brief autograph session at the AT&T Fan Zone at The Gardens prior to each game. Before kickoff, they will be recognized and will accompany the captains to midfield for the coin toss.
Tickets for two Fayetteville games are still on sale. Tickets for the conference matchup against Kentucky are $55, while tickets for the non-conference game against Tulsa are $45. Single-game tickets may be purchased online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, in person the Razorback Ticket Center or by phone at 800-982-HOGS. Fans ordering tickets online have the option to print the tickets from home utilizing UA's new eTicket system.
