LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Veterans Day is a time the nation sets aside to specifically honor those who've defended, and even died, to protect our country and our freedoms.
THV 11 had the opportunity to visit with the Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Scott Gould.
With more and more veterans coming home from war zones, we asked what the VA is doing to make sure they are adjusting back to life state-side.
"In Little Rock, reach out to the local VA Medical Center," Gould said. "Our folks are standing by; their job not only on Veterans Day, but every day of the year is to honor the veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country. We are ready for you."
The Little Rock Veterans Center is located at 201 W. Broadway St. Suite A in North Little Rock. Its phone numbers are
(501) 324-6395 and (877) 927-8387.
