ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (HSU) - Head Coach Beth Jackson has announced that the Henderson State softball program has signed of four future Lady Reddies for the 2014 season as part of the early signing period which concluded on November 21st.

The four players to sign National Letters of Intent to play softball at Henderson State include Jaylin Baldridge, Katie McMullen, Keirsten Seahorn, and Ashlyn White.

Baldridge, a native of Sugar Land, Texas, has spent a majority of her playing time at George Ranch High School behind the plate. "Jaylin is very quick and agile behind the plate," notes Coach Jackson. "She also possesses a strong arm, knows the game extremely well, will be a versatile player with the ability to play the middle infield and the outfield.

McMullen, a native of Parker, Texas, will join the Lady Reddies' pitching rotation in 2014. "Katie has excellent speed and movement in her pitches," raves Coach Jackson. "As a freshman, we will expect her to throw a lot of innings and really add to our pitching staff."

Seahorn, a native of Gilmer, Texas, has a similar defensive makeup to that of Baldridge in the sense that she can play behind the plate and also up the middle along the infield. "Keirsten is solid behind the plate and has a great arm," remarks Coach Jackson. "She is also just a player that plays the game hard. We also expect her to have a big bat that will help our offense.

White, a native of Longview, Texas, is another versatile player that has a powerful bat that may find her in the middle of the Lady Reddies' lineup for years to come. "Ashlyn's 18 career homeruns so far point to her offensive ability," remarks Coach Jackson. "She is a solid first baseman and will also be able to contribute in the circle as a pitcher."

"Overall, I am so excited for each of these newcomers," exclaims Coach Jackson. "They will make an excellent addition to our roster. These four ladies are great student-athletes that will have an immediate impact to our team."
