TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (KTHV) - The body of a man from Cove, Ark. who was reported missing after taking a road trip is believed to have been located.
Randall Super, 57, was last seen July 13, 2012 at a Denny's restaurant in Mt. Vernon, Il. Surveillance video showed him leaving in a pickup truck with an Arkansas tag. A detailed missing persons report was issued in multiple states after his disappearance.
On Thursday, the Mt. Vernon Police Dept. released a statement saying that a driver along Interstate 70 in Terre Haute, In. noticed the bumper of a vehicle protruding from a body of water. The driver stopped to further investigate and wrote down the license plate tag of the vehicle. After searching the license tag on the Internet, he realized that the tag matched a missing persons report and notified the Mt. Vernon Police Dept.
MVPD contacted the Clay County Sheriff's Office (Indiana), which located the truck and found a body inside. There is an autopsy scheduled to identify the body and cause of death.
