ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (AP) - Retiring U.S. Rep. Mike Ross is expected to travel to Arkansas' Ouachita Baptist University for an announcement about a partnership project with the school.
The Democratic congressman and OBU President Rex Horne are slated to talk about the project Friday afternoon during a news conference in Arkadelphia.
Ross announced last year that he wouldn't seek a seventh term representing south Arkansas' 4th District. Republican Tom Cotton won that congressional seat in the November election as the GOP swept the state's four U.S. House districts.
Earlier this year, Ross also said he would pass on a widely expected 2014 run for governor.
