    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The minute that the engagement ring goes on the finger, most brides think about losing a few pounds! It can be difficult to keep on track, but we've got some incentive this morning from Arkansas Bride Magazine called Bridal Bootcamp.

    Publisher Rachel Bradbury and trainer Ben Faires from D-1 Sports are stopped by "THV 11 News This Morning" with details.

    What is Arkansas Bride Bridal Boot Camp?
    Arkansas Bride Bridal Boot Camp is a 3-month fitness program designed for brides who want to get in shape through rigorous physical activity and dietary change. In an intense, high-energy and motivating environment, 10 brides will receive the full D1 Sports Training and Therapy experience via their expert coach's replication of pro training environments.

    What is D1?
    D1 Sports Training and Therapy provides custom sports training programs, expert coaching and the latest in sports therapy, all in an intense, high-energy environment. D1's intense, motivating atmosphere is designed to deliver the same experience and benefits collegiate athletes receive in top-tier athletic programs.

    D1 is located northwest of downtown on Cantrell Road. Their 20,000 square foot facility has a 60-yard indoor turf field, fully-furnished weight room, in-house sports therapy clinic and expert coaches trained to push athletes to their full potential.

    Who is eligible to participate?
    You are eligible for the Arkansas Bride Bridal Boot Camp if:
    • You are getting married after May 14, 2013;
    • You are 18 years or older;
    • You are overweight or feel that you could use a bit of toning; and
    • You are comfortable being on camera and with sharing your story, progress and measurements with KTHV viewers and Arkansas Bride readers.

    How long does the program last?
    The Arkansas Bride Bridal Boot Camp is a 3-month program. It starts on Monday, February 4, 2013, ends Friday, May 10, 2013 and culminates with a finale party on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

    How often do I have to work out?
    While it is up to each bride as to how involved she wants to be in the program, brides must attend three workouts each week to stay in the program. One of the work outs - Monday mornings at 6:00 am - is mandatory for all participants. On this day, brides will train with D1's Coach Ben and be filmed for KTHV. The other two workouts may be scheduled around the bride's individual schedule. These workouts will be with any of the other six D1 coaches.

    Who is Coach Ben?
    Originally from Springdale, AR where he was a multi-sport athlete at Springdale High School, Ben was all-state in track and field, won State and the Meet of Champs in the 400meters and all-state in football as wide receiver. Ben went on to receive a scholarship to play football at the University of Central Arkansas.

    Today, Ben serves as D1's Assistant Facility Coordinator where he starts training at 5 a.m. guiding his clients into shape through cardio and weight-training exercises.

    What does the program include?
    The Arkansas Bride Bridal Boot Camp includes weekly workouts and keeping up with video and food journals. Video journals will be recorded at the mandatory workouts on Monday mornings at 6:00 am. Food journals will be kept by each individual bride and reviewed by D1's nutritionist.

    How much does the program cost?
    The 10 participating brides must pay a $150 deposit that they will receive in the end if they complete the program. Should they not meet the three times a week work out minimum, their deposit will be forfeited and they will be dropped from the program. A regular 3-month access pass to D1 costs $550, so depending on a bride's level of dedication a 3-month unlimited membership to D1 could be theirs for free.

    What's in it for me?
    At the end of the 3-month program, one bride will win the ultimate prize - a wedding package complete with all of the resources a bride could ever want.
    • Prize package valued at $8,000
    o Dr. DJ Dailey - Zoom Teeth Whitening
    o Glo Limited - Special Event Makeup, Eyelash Extensions, Airbrush Tanning and a $200 Gift Certificate
    o Whitney Bowers Imaging - Photo Session

    o Lasercare Skin Clinic - Oxylight Facial Treatment
    o Proposals - $250 Clothing and Accessories Gift Certificate
    o Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa of Lake Ouachita - Romantic Getaway

    How is the winner chosen?
    The winning bride will be chosen by a panel of judges based on four criteria - dedication (50%), video/food journals (20%), fan support (20%) and overall weight loss/progress (10%). The winner will be announced at a finale party on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
