BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - Everett Buick GMC has landed itself in Hero Central.

The car dealership donated $50,000 dollars to go toward the food pantry at the Boys and Girls Club of Saline County.

The food will go to help feed hungry kids after school.

Susie Everett and her husband own the dealership; she said they wanted to give back to the community and the kids.

"They feed the children after school. Some of these children do not get to eat again until they're back at school the next day. This may be their last snack or meal for the day," she said.

Mrs. Everett said she credits her son-in-law for coming up with the idea.

Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe and representatives from the Arkansas Hunger Alliance also took part in today's event.
