CONWAY, AR- The son of Guy-Perkins Superintendent David Westenhover was arrested Friday night in Searcy County. Joshua David Westen hover was arrested around 10pm Friday in connection with the same case as his father. He was transfered back to Faulkner County around 11:30pm last night. He is being held without bond until his first court appearance on Monday. His father, David Westenhover was released the same day he was arrested on a $6,000 bond.
CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - The superintendent for the Guy-Perkins School District is under arrest and charged with theft by receiving.
Thursday, David Westenhover, 49, is charged with theft by receiving (Class D felony), Aiding Consummation (Class D felony), and Hindering Apprehension (Class A Misdemeanor).
Chief Deputy Matt Rice with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office says the arrest comes after three months of investigation after some weapons were stolen out of a Faulkner County home Sept. 30.
Deputies learned that Westenhover had at least one or more of the stolen weapons after talking to witnesses.
Westenhover's bond was set to $6,000.
