Seven Reddies land on 2012 Don Hansen All-Super region three team
PITTSBURG, Kans. (HSU) - The historic 2012 football season for the Henderson State Reddies continues to reap regional recognition as seven Reddie standouts were named to the 2012 Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Team as it was announced by the Don Hansen Football Committee earlier this week.
Henderson State, who enjoyed the school's first-ever unbeaten and untied regular season, led all teams in overall selections with a total of eight.
Among those chosen were wide receiver/return specialist Robert Jordan (First-Team WR - Second Team RS), center Kelton Hays (First-Team), linebacker Maxie Graham (First-Team), quarterback Kevin Rodgers (Second-Team), offensive tackle Cherokee Streetman (Third-Team), defensive tackle Robbie Aldridge (Third-Team), and linebacker Keaton Stigger (Third-Team).
All seven of these Reddies earned First-Team All-Great American plaudits earlier this year.
The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988. Don Hansen's Football Gazette began selecting Division II All-Region squads in 2003.
The first-team and second-team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot from which the 2012 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team will be named later this month.
