    Motivation to be a better you for 2013

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- "I shall either find a way or make one." This is a phrase motivational speaker and fitness instructor Nathan Kirby lives by. 
     
    This morning Nathan came to "THV 11 News This Morning" to help continue our mission of creating a better YOU.

    1. Fail Forward - "I didn't fail, I just learned how not to do something." Nathan says to use a failure as a lesson, and to grow from it. Our number one fear is fear of failure, but failure can teach us if we let it and guide us if we allow it and lead us to our next victory and success.

    2. Carpe Diem - Seize the day! But are you? Nathan says our time is our most valuable commodity and smallest resource because we can't grow it and we lose it everyday. Don't get caught up in the "when/then" syndrome of "When I get my raise, then I'll..." or "When I get a new job, then I'll...."

    Nathan asks when is enough going to be enough? When will today be the day?

    3. Flip the script - Everyone has those moments when they talk to themselves. What are you saying?

    No more negative speaking. Don't say "I can't", a nasty four letter word! Time to ask yourself "How can I?" Instead of saying "I don't have the resources," ask yourself "What do I have?" Then find out what resources you need to hurdle the challenge.
