LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Little Rock School Board met Thursday night to talk about teacher contracts.
Board members approved the tentative teacher contract language through 2015. The 3-year agreement covers hiring and resources in the classroom along with teacher conduct.
Cathy Koehler, President of the Little Rock Education Association, said this agreement took 8 months.
"We never left the table. We continually talked to each other," said Koehler. "It's a step forward, and it's the type of collaboration we want to see in every building across this district."
Also on the board's agenda was school safety where they talked about adding armed guards.
