U-verse restored, affected customers receiving credit

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- U-verse has been restored all AT&T customers affected by the recent outage.

    Anita Smith, AT&T Arkansas Communication Manager, provided the following statement Thursday afternoon:

    "U-verse service has been restored for all customers affected by the outage. The software problem causing the issues was resolved by AT&T engineers early this morning. We are not pleased it took so long to fix the issue. AT&T will provide a credit to customers who were affected. We know our customers count on their U-verse service and we apologize for the inconvenience."

    Smith said customers will be credited based on the amount of time they were without service. They should see the adjustment on their bill within 30-60 days. If it doesn't appear by then, the customer should contact AT&T.

    Cable, Internet, and other services were disrupted after a server complex went down for some customers in Arkansas and other states earlier this week.
