FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) - Forty-one University of Arkansas student-athletes earned selection to the Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced today.

The Razorbacks were represented by 22 football players, 14 members of the women's soccer team and five volleyball players all posted grades at or above a 3.00 grade point average last semester.

"We are proud of the Razorback student-athletes who have earned their place onto the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. "Our academic achievements continue to reflect positively on our program and the University of Arkansas. This past fall, we had nearly 100 student-athletes post their personal best GPA and our commitment to achieving our goals in the classroom is at the very core of our mission."

Arkansas had a good fall semester in the classroom with 92 student-athletes on the Athletic Director's List for grades ranging from 3.50-3.99. Ninety-nine student-athletes earned the selection to the Athletic Department Honor Roll with grades ranging from 3.00 to 3.49. Men's track and field set the pace with 16 student-athletes followed by football and women's track and field with 15 each.

Soccer players Taylor Green, Bethany Lablac, Elizabeth Stratton and Courtney Williams were all 4.0 students in the fall semester as was Hayley Koop from volleyball. Football players Brandon Allen, Alex Cacciarelli, Raymond Gervasi, Price Holmes, Austin Tate, Austin Jones and Brad Taylor were also perfect in the fall semester this year.
Also getting in done in the athletic venue, the Razorback soccer team reached the SEC Tournament after setting a school record with six conference wins and two wins over ranked opponents.

The Razorback volleyball team returned to the NCAA Tournament going 22-10 overall and 13-7 in the SEC.

The SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the spring, summer and fall terms. There are several criteria for selection including a gpa of 3.00 or above for either the preceding academic year (two semesters or three quarters) or have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; summer school gpa during the summer academic term must be included in the calculation; the honor roll includes scholarship and non-scholarship student-athletes; prior to being nominated, a student-athlete must have successfully completed 24 semester or 36 quarter hours of non-remedial academic credit toward a baccalaureate degree at the nominating institution and the student-athlete must have been a member of a varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
