GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Authorities in Garland County have arrested two suspects in connection with Wednesday night's homicide.

According to Lt. James Martin with the Garland County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Stephen Tye Curtiss and 24-year-old Dustin Wayne Brown were arrested in Grant County.

Martin said Brown and Curtiss got in a fist fight with 25-year-old David Halpin around 6:20 p.m. when someone pulled a gun and shot Halpin. Early reports indicated that Curtiss and Brown allegedly followed Halpin to a home on Barite Street, where the argument and fist fight ensued.

Martin added that during the argument, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Halpin, who died at the scene, and at some point during the fist fight, a woman was struck in the head and/or face area and was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Police do not know what caused the attack.
