Mulerider baseball moves up to No. 19 in CBN national poll

    MAGNOLIA, Ark. (SAU) - Following a 2-0 start* through the first week of the 2013 season, the Southern Arkansas baseball team has climbed from No. 24 to No. 19 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) national rankings, while holding steady in both the College Baseball Lineup poll (No. 15) and the D2baseballnews.com poll (No. 11).

    The Muleriders (4-0) opened up their 2013 campaign on Sunday, February 3rd with a doubleheader sweep over Cameron University. On Tuesday, February 5th, the Muleriders added two more wins to their record as the picked up a doubleheader sweep over Wiley College in their home-opener.

    SAU will now travel Angelo, Texas to take on No. 14-ranked Angelo State in a highly anticipated weekend series against the Rams (4-0). The first game of the series is scheduled for Friday, February 8th with a first pitch time of 3:00 p.m.
