HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts will dedicate the Meade Digital Arts Lab at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The computer lab's name will honor Dr. Benjamin Meade and Jane Hunt Meade of Little Rock. The Meades donated $20,000 for the purchase of 10 new computers for the lab. One of the primary uses for the computers will be for filmmaking by students in  ASMSA's documentary film class.

Benjamin Meade has been a documentary filmmaker for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Jane Hunt Meade, are the owners of Arkansas New Media and Corticrawl Productions in Little Rock.

Benjamin Meade was influential in the development of the documentary film course at ASMSA. He helped get the program started through donations and later taught the course for a semester.
