LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- While there was a lot of discussion about bills being signed into law Tuesday, there was also mention of finally turning lawmakers' focus to the Affordable Health Care Act and what to do with Medicaid expansion in Arkansas.

"Let's get to work and let's get to work on it, and I think we're there in the context of I think we're going to have the information in hand to take up the issue," said Representative Davy Carter, R-House Speaker.

Governor Beebe, just back from the winter governors' conference in DC, said the federal government has agreed to a Medicaid expansion deal that would allow about 250,000 low-income Arkansans to get federal money to buy private insurance.

Legislative leaders found that encouraging, but said they need to talk more about how to proceed with Medicaid.
