House Republican Leader John Boehner
WASHINGTON DC (CNN) -- Speaker of the House John Boehner is using strong language to urge Senate Democrats to take action to avert automatic budget cuts, saying the House has already acted.
Boehner made the comments at Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, DC on Tuesday. Boehner pointed out that the House has twice voted in favor of more targeted cuts instead of the sweeping across-the board cuts scheduled to kick in on March 1.
"We should not have to move a third bill before the Senate gets off their ass and begins to do something," he said.
